In 2009 we have added some new things to the event. For starters, we now have a new family friendly Fun Run. The course is approximately 1.5 miles, and will let runners experience a small portion of the race course, and cross the same finish line as the 5k and 10k runners. We also have added $400 in "cash" bonuses to runners who can break some pre-established time premiums. Learn more under the Rules and Award link to the left.
Running on the paths is easily one of the prettiest 5ks and 10ks you will experience in North Carolina. We keep the race a comfortable size to ensure a fun experience by everyone involved. Over crowding the course with extra runners will take away from your enjoyment. So be on the look out for registration. You will not want to miss out!
